K-WordFound Privacy Policy
Last updated
This policy explains how K-WordFound uses information when you play solo, join multiplayer games, use Nearby play, or view advertising. No account or sign-in is required.
Account and nickname
K-WordFound does not require an account or sign-in. A nickname you choose is saved on your device. When you create or join an online multiplayer room, the nickname is sent to the multiplayer service and shown to other participants as your display name.
Data stored on your device
The app stores preferences, language and game setup choices, solo results and recently used words, the Nearby setting, and information needed to reconnect to a multiplayer room. This data is not synchronized to an account. You can remove local app data using your device’s app-data controls or by deleting the app.
Online multiplayer
Online multiplayer uses HTTP and WebSocket connections to infrastructure operated with Cloudflare Workers and Durable Objects. The service processes room and invite codes, your display name, player identifiers and reconnect credentials, room settings, participants, puzzle and gameplay state, scores, and timestamps needed to run a room.
Network providers may receive technical request information such as an IP address as part of delivering these connections. Completed rooms are scheduled to close after about 10 minutes, and empty rooms after about 30 minutes. The current service code closes access to expired rooms but does not establish an exact physical-deletion time for stored infrastructure records.
Nearby play and Bluetooth
Nearby discovery uses Bluetooth only after you enable it and grant the requested permission. Its broadcast contains an eight-character room code, category, board size, and current and maximum player counts; it does not contain your nickname.
On Android 11 and earlier, the system can label a Bluetooth scan permission as location-related. The app does not use that permission to read precise location. On newer Android versions it requests Bluetooth scan with the never-for-location setting. If permission is denied, Nearby discovery is unavailable; online joining by invite code or link remains available.
Invite links and QR codes
Invite links and displayed QR codes contain multiplayer room information. The app generates and shares these codes but does not request camera access or scan QR codes with an in-app camera.
Advertising
The app includes Google Mobile Ads and can display banner advertising. Google may process device, network, and advertising-related information under its own terms and platform settings. The app source does not directly access IDFA, request App Tracking Transparency authorization, or include a Google consent-management flow. Those findings do not independently determine every category processed by the Google SDK.
Analytics and diagnostics
No separate analytics or crash-reporting service was found in the reviewed app source. The app contains local development diagnostics that record events only while diagnostic recording is active; these are not an analytics account or user profile.
Third-party services
Online multiplayer relies on Cloudflare infrastructure. Advertising relies on Google Mobile Ads. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
